Friday, May 28 - Jazz Festival
The Jazz Festival runs from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm at locations in Regina, ending with the Jazz Extravaganza at 7:00 pm. Groups are allowed 40 minutes on stage which includes setup (seating and equipment), warm-up, performance and adjudication.
Saturday, May 29 - Concert Festival
The Concert Festival starts at 8:00 am at several locations in Regina, ending by 4:30 pm. Bands are allowed 35 minutes on stage which includes setup (seating and equipment), warm-up (if required), performance and adjudication.
These are not competitive events. The adjudication is based on the professional opinion of the adjudicators. Each group is awarded a bronze, silver or gold rating relative to their performance at the category they chose to enter. The categories are dependent on age and years of experience - Beginner, Elementary, Junior, Senior or Open.
Beginner First year playing
Elementary 1-2 years experience and an elementary grade level
Junior 2-3 years experience and a junior high grade level
Senior 3-4 years experience and a senior high grade level
Open 4+ years experience, senior grade level or higher
Band directors may select up to three selections for each entry. The selections are the band director's choice however the selections must be of contrasting styles.
The festival is focused at elementary to high school aged school and community bands.
All the adjudicators are prominent Saskatchewan music educators.
ENTRY FEES
Fees are per performance group. Discounts are provided to school/organization with more than 1 group performing at the festival.

Groups $130.00/ea $150.00/ea
EQUIPMENT
All equipment required for a performance is the responsibility of the group except for the following:
Jazz: Electric Piano, Amps, Drum Set, Microphones, Music Stands, Chairs
Concert: Bass Drum, Timpani, Music Stands, Chairs
JAZZ EXTRAVAGANZA
Featuring selected Jazz Bands from the Springfest Jazz Festival and special guests

Cost: $3.00 Admission - Chaperones no charge!
PIZZA PARTY & DANCE
Saturday, May 29 - 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Tartan Curling Club

$8 per student/$4 per chaperone
This event is not included in your fees. The pizza party is sponsored by the Regina Harmony Lions Club

Please make festival entry and jazz extravaganza cheques payable to SPRINGFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL and forward payment with entry. Entry fees are due upon entry. All receipts will be sent by email.
Pizza Party deposits and payments are payable to the Regina Harmony Lions Club. Please use the attached form for Pizza Party registration.
You will receive an email confirming receipt of your entry and/or registration. Performance times will be set once all entries have been processed. Your festival package with times and venues will be emailed to you by the end of April. If you have any questions, please contact Springfest.
