What is the Optimist Band Festival?
The Regina Optimist Band Festival is the host to any interested groups (Concert or Jazz Band), of any age, skill level, and location. The Regina Optimist Band Festival is organized and coordinated through the efforts of the Regina Downtowners Optimist Club and is supported by The Saskatchewan Band Association.
Why Register your groups in the festival?
This festival provides the opportunity for groups to perform on the stage of the Conexus Arts Centre, listen to other festival entries as well as guest ensembles (Jazz and Concert Band). Additionally, participants will receive clinics, recordings, and adjudication.
***It is of vital importance that participation is increased in the upcoming years to ensure the longevity and vitality of this festival. In recent years the number of performing groups has decreased, putting the existence of this festival at risk***
