PMR Moves Online - New Delivery, Same GREAT Content!

The Prairie Music Residency (PMR) was set up by the Saskatoon Brass Bands Inc. in 2013 to help further enrich the long-standing tradition of British-style brass banding in Saskatchewan and North America, while offering players a chance to work with world class brass band musicians and improve their skills in an intimate and inclusive environment.

While our in-person plans could not proceed, we are VERY pleased to be able to move our event online.  PMR Online will continue on our tradition of providing access to outstanding national and international clinicians.  Via online seminars and interactive Zoom sessions, participants can join in spotlight Q and A sessions, small group discussions, and even arrange for private lessons if desired.

Online Sessions will run from August 6th, through till August 9th 2020.

Cost to participate is ONLY $25 for SBA members, and $35 for non-members.

Miss a session? Want to review a particular presenter's content? No worries! The content will be available to registrants for post-event viewing until August 30th.

There is a fantastic line-up of experts for this year! Some of the names include;

  • Mark Wilkinson
  • Bones Apart (Becky Smith, Sarah Williams, Jayne Murrill, and Helen Vollam)
  • Helen Varley
  • Les Neish
  • TorQ (Richard Burrows, Adam Campbell, Jamie Drake, and Daniel Morphy)
  •  and many more to be released soon!

We are proud to be partnering with the Saskatchewan Band Association even more this year.  SBA is not only providing the registration and online session platforms but is helping to expand the reach of PMR with the addition of woodwind clinicians to our traditional line up. As with the brass and percussion sessions, this year we will also have spotlight artists for Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, and more!
