The Saskatchewan Band Association’s 2018 Regina Junior and Senior Band Camp is filled with many activities to make your week both educational and fun! We have an excellent staff of qualified professionals lined up who are excited to share their musical knowledge with you. The camp offers comprehensive musical instruction for woodwind, brass and percussion students who have one or more years of playing experience.
The Regina camp is a day camp based at the University of Regina. During the week, Monday to Friday, the camp will generally run from 8:45am to 5:00pm. (There will be staff at the camp from 8:00am if parents need to drop off students early.) Participants will need to bring a bag lunch each day, Monday through Friday (optional pizza lunch for a fee on Friday).
On Wednesday afternoon participants and staff will travel to Evraz (IPSCO) Park for a BBQ and a swim. Students will not be home for supper that night and will have a practice at the university that evening after the BBQ. Students will be finished on Wednesday at 9:00pm. Optional recreation activities (bowling, swimming, dance, movie night, etc) may be planned for the evenings (other than Wednesday) beginning at 7:00pm. Further details on planned recreational activities will be shared with registered participants closer to the start of camp.
This camp hosts both Junior and Senior students. Camp participants will engage in Full Band, Sectionals, Private Lessons, Master Classes, Theory, Small Ensembles, Jazz Ensemble, and Options Classes throughout the week.
A detailed schedule of this years events will be sent out closer to the camp date.
The final concert will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 3rd in the University Theatre in the Riddell Centre.
Refund Policy:
Registrations cancelled 30 days or more before the camp start date will receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee. Registrations cancelled with less than 30 days notice will not be eligible for a refund.
