SBA is proud to host a Band Summit, an exciting new event for Band musicians in Saskatchewan. The Band Summit is open to all instrumental players who love playing in a band.
This one day event offers community band, school band and band directors a great opportunity to combine learning, networking and fun - all with a band focus.
SBA welcomes Mr. Chase Sanborn as our feature artist, courtesy of Yamaha Canada and St. John’s Music. Chase brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and musicianship. His musically motivational sessions are a “hit” across Canada and the world.
The day will feature various sessions covering a broad base of topics. Musical and instrument fundamentals, group performance skills, developing yourself as a player, and how we can improve as a band community will all be part of the day. Lunch and all community band concerts are included as part of your Summit registration.
Band concerts are also a key feature throughout the day. Lunchtime entertainment will be provided by the Prince Albert Community Band. The evening will feature a concert showcasing Chase Sanborn with both the Queen City Brass Band from Regina and the Saskatoon Brass Band. We are sure these are all shows you will not want to miss.
The day will also include SBA's Annual General Meeting and we hope you will join us.
