SBA VIDEO CONTEST
“Why I Love Band”
The Saskatchewan Band Association (SBA) invites ALL youth and adult band enthusiasts to create a short and fun video of about 30-60 seconds highlighting why you love band.
Contest Entries welcome from: band students, band parents, grandparents, band directors, community band musicians... if you LOVE Band - you are welcome to enter the contest!
Help us convince other students ... and parents... to consider band! Those of us already involved in band KNOW what we love about it. Use your video clip to show your enthusiasm for band, for your band instrument, for the friends you make and so much more.
We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience all of the benefits band has to offer!
Contest closes at 11:59 p.m. Sunday May 24, 2020.
Here are some questions you might want to consider while making your video:
1. Why did you join band?
2. What do you love the most about band?
3. Why did you choose your instrument?
4. What would you say to encourage others to join band?
Participants... future movie stars... of ALL ages welcome! Youth participants ( those under 18) require parental/guardian consent to participate and visual/audio release permission as part of the online contest entry form. All participants must complete the Entry/Registration form, including the visual/audio release, to formally participate in the contest and prize draws.
Prizes - for youth participants AND adult participants
BONUS Prize: One lucky school/school band will be drawn from ALL of the schools nominated. How is a school nominated? Simple, anyone who participates in the contest can "nominate" an elementary or secondary school right on their contest entry form. The more times a single school is nominated, the greater the odds of winning!
Contest Entry is FREE... complete your contest entry form at any time before May 22. Once you complete the contest entry form, you will be sent a confirmation email providing you with a direct link you can use to upload your completed video(s). YES - you can submit more than one video! Want to be extra creative in one, super serious in another... go ahead. Just be sure your NAME is included on each video file name when you upload.
