Band in the Park - Regina

Goodbye Covid! Hello Music...In the Park!

The SBA is inviting band musicians of all ages and abilities to simply drop-in and join together to play some fan favorite music in the park! We have selected some fun music that will entertain musicians and anyone listening. This event is open to band students AND adult community band musicians.

Participants will need to bring their own chairs, music stand (if you have one), clothes peg/clip to hold music on your stand and of course your instrument.  As a drop-in program we want to keep the set up to a minimum and the FUN to a maximum!

Chad Huel, SBA Past-President & Honour Band Coordinator, has agreed to be our Band in the Park Coordinator.  We are also fortunate to have the support of various Band Directors.

What to Expect?

• Play some fan favorite songs together like "Firework" by Katy Perry, "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash, "Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger and more! 
• Play and connect with local band musicians in the community!
• Enjoy playing in a safe, fun, and casual environment!       

When & Where?

1st Band in the Park - June 22nd at 6:30 - 8pm at Kinsmen Park South.

2nd Band in the Park - July 13th at 6:30 - 8pm at Les Sherman Park (by the Neil Balkwell).

3rd Band in the Park -  August 17th at 6:30 - 8pm at Rochdale Park (Grassy Area North of NW Leisure north parking lot, backing the houses on Farrel Bay.

NOTE:  All events are weather dependant.  They will be automatically cancelled and NOT rescheduled if there is inclement weather.  So let's hope for sun & no wind!
