Prairieland Jazz Camp

SBA's Prairieland Jazz Camp is a unique opportunity for potential and developing young jazz musicians. The camp brings together some of the best jazz performers and educators in Canada to provide young musicians a week of intensive jazz training. The camp offers a host of nationally-acclaimed clinicians, most of whom are not only originally from Saskatchewan but also attended the Jazz Camp when they were young.
While filled with expert clinicians, the Prairieland Jazz Camp is still great for all ability levels and prior jazz experience is NOT necessary. Activities at camp are designed for different levels of playing ability, so each participant can feel comfortable, yet challenged. The camp is open to students from Grades 6-12.
The camp welcomes band students of all ages who have a minimum of one (1) year of playing experience on their band instrument.
The jazz camp is a day-camp based at the University of Regina. During the week, Monday to Friday, the camp will generally run from 9am-4:30pm. There will be staff at the camp from 8:00am if parents need to drop off participants early.
The week begins with Camp Registration and Auditions on the Sunday afternoon. Auditions are not stressful and are simply used to help Camp staff ensure the best possible experience for each participant.
A detailed schedule – including refined start/end times for the camp - will be sent out to participants closer to the camp start date.

Refund Policy:
Registrations cancelled 30 days or more before the camp start date will receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee. Registrations cancelled with less than 30 days' notice will not be eligible for a refund.
