Let Music Theory make YOU a Better Band Musician

Join Robin Tinani for this fantastic, energetic 6-week Intro to Music Theory course designed to give students the tools they need, in order to gain a deeper understanding of their music.

Learning music theory helps students understand how music is written, and how to interpret musical notes. When it comes to learning an instrument, music theory teaches students to understand the importance of notation, keys, scales, intervals, pitch, melody, harmony and more.

The 6-week course will cover:

  • Treble & Bass notes, the staff & how to use a piano keyboard
  • Time signatures & note values
  • Key signatures & scales
  • Chords & arpeggios
  • Melody Writing
  • Analysis

Please note: This course is offered Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:30pm.  Participants will be expected to also complete some work between weekly classes.
