Band In the Park & PMR Unite!
The SBA and the Saskatoon Brass Band Inc. are combining two great music events into one FUNtastic day! Band in the Park music in the morning followed by a BBQ lunch and PMR fun Reading Session in the afternoon. This FREE event is open to all band students AND adult community band musicians.
To help keep organizing easy, participants will need to bring their own chairs, music stand (if you have one), clothes peg/clip to hold music on your stand and of course your instrument. We want to keep the set up to a minimum and the FUN to a maximum!
General Schedule:
- 10:45 Welcome and Set up
- 11:00 - 12:30 Band in the Park - music for all with fun songs like "Firework" by Katy Perry, "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond, "Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger and more!
- 12:30 - 1:30 BBQ Lunch & Chat
- 1:45 - 3:30 PMR Reading Session & small ensembles
- 3:30 - 4:00 Wrap up
- possible post event social
When & Where?
August 22nd at Gabriel Dumont Park - Saskatoon.
NOTE: This event is weather dependant. It will be automatically cancelled and NOT rescheduled if there is inclement weather. So let's hope for sun... but not too hot!
